SBK: Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba for a Cause!

Hey everyone, let’s come together in support of our amazing friend in the Indy Salsa and Kizomba community, Kristiva Smith. Kristiva has played a huge role in bringing our communities together by hosting Canal Kiz events and by being a friendly, welcoming, and talented dancer everywhere she goes! Kristiva is currently facing a difficult medical situation. She found out that she had a brain lesion on August 6 and had a biopsy August 24. From Kristiva: “I am still waiting for the results of the biopsy. I am believing for a benign report! 🙏 A quick recovery without medication and treatment for the rest of my life! Currently I still don’t have much use of my left hand or the left side of my face. I am on steroids and some other medication to get better until we figure out exactly what it is and what the treatment options are going to be.“ All proceeds from this event will go directly to Kristiva to help offset extra expenses she’s facing during this time as a result of the biopsies and treatments she has to undergo, as well as time taken off work and extra support needed for her care and recovery. We are hoping for a fun day to come together to learn and dance in support of our friend! Schedule is as follows: Workshops 1 pm to 2 pm: Kizomba - Lisa Butts from CinciKiz 2 pm to 3 pm: Salsa Shines - Victor Garcia 3 pm to 4 pm: Pachanga - Victor Garcia SBK Social 10pm to 1am: Salsa, bachata, and kizomba social with DJ T0RR3S and special performances by Allure Dance & Fitness and Vanessa Benham!
