Which will consist of three 1 hour classes starting at 12.00 till 3.00pm. There will also be a 1 hour Cuban Salsa-Fusion class & Rueda de Casino in room 2 with ❗️ARIEL RIOS ROBERT❗️ from 2.00pm till 3.00pm. 5 hour social starts at 3.00pm You are welcome to join the classes at any stage! At the end you can feel confident on how to dance Urban Kiz as well as give you solid foundations for your Urban Kiz journey. Lesson 1 - Foundations - What is Urban Kiz? - Why does Urban Kiz exist? - How does it differ from Kizomba - The 4 key characteristics or Urban Kiz - Urban Kiz family of Music - How to step - Frame in Urban Kiz - Kizomba steps with Urban Kiz technique. Please do not miss this as it will form the foundations of the rest of the lessons. Also please bring appropriate footwear e.g. Flat shoes like Tom's, Vans, Jazz shoes or Dance heels. Trainers/Boots are not ideal but will suffice. Lesson 2 - Urban Kiz Basics - Basic Urban Kiz steps and partterns - Tempo & Energy. Lesson 3 - Urban Kiz Musicality Basics - What is Musicality in Urban Kiz - Dancing on Music Structure - Finding and dancing on the '1'. Your teachers: Alvin and Raluca, based in London, UK, have been teaching together since April 2018 and internationally since August 2019. They formed their partnership after meeting each other at a weekly dance event where Alvin and a team of instructors taught regularly. They knew after the first dance the connection and similar energies that bounced of each other was to be explored. They started training shortly after and formed their dance partnership. “Dance Distinctively” was then launched in April 2018. Dance Distinctively, solely founded and run by themselves ran until the end of that year hosting 2 hour weekly classes and a 3 hour social in the heart of London. Since then they have been travelling all over the country to teach and attend festivals in support, and to spread their knowledge with all Urban Kiz lovers in the UK. In addition, they were placed as Runner’s Up in Olympiads of Kizomba UK Selection 2019, and Winner’s of Battle Kiz UK Selection 2020.
