Theme: Strange New World Description: Chronic fear and worry shut down our ability to dream of a different and better world for ourselves, the future ones, and all beings. This is exactly what fascists want. I designed this set to help us access a transportive dreamlike / trance state. No English and actually very minimal lyrics at all. Let's get out of our incessant verbal processer and into our more expansive dreamer. Rugged, psychedelic, whimsical, cathartic. Come dance your body to both old and new, cozily nostalgic, and boldly hopeful. Bio: JoJo Phoenix "JP" Frank is a prayerful playful human based in on Salish Kootenai land now known as Missoula, MT where they work with couples on consent and sensuality and facilitate a weekly ecstatic dance called Ground Swell. They also founded Missoula's current contact improv community and tour teaching contact improv with a focus on welcoming hesitant people to the form.
