About this Event

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ecstatic Dance ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Journey Into Humanity, by DJ RjcSpirit A raw, heartfelt reflection on today’s world through dance — its division, unrest, and yearning for connection. The dance moves through grief, prayer, and rebellion toward remembrance, human compassion, and the collective joy of transcendent awakening — a reminder that darkness deepens just before the dawn. Raw, powerful, and quietly divine… yet softened by the simple truth that we are all still learning, still becoming, still human. — Given our shared human collective experience in today’s chaotic world, after the dance, I’d love to hold space for a deeper sharing than usual — gentle, optional, grounded — letting people speak from what moved through them, what may have stirred, changed, or awakened within. Bio: Raymond Castonguay is a world traveled entrepreneur seeking harmonious synergy between Nature, Humanity, and technology. His music attraction and creativity as a teenager was awakened by the Alan Parsons Project. His DJ sets are known to follow a unique style of deeply heartfelt themes that penetrate the dancing soul - none of which are ever the same. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pre-Dance Workshop ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BraveSpace Contact Improvisation with Matthew Nelson In BraveSpace you are invited to mine your own embodied authenticity. There is truly nothing that you need to do in order to belong here. You will be systematically invited to rest in awe and wonder of your inherent ability to attune to self and other. We will begin by recognizing that touch begins at the level of energy: The choice to lean in physically depends on our maintaining the sense of self, while simultaneously delighting in inter-being. Chances are that what happens from there will surprise you, not because you left yourself behind, but because you’re inspired to be completely you. This is offered as a two week series, and the work always develops based on who arrives. Come to one or both, and previous participants will be given new pieces. Matthew Nelson is a somatic teacher, healer, and dancer who has spent 30 years immersed in the mystery of movement. Matthew has helped thousands in awakening their vitality, not as something to fix or force, but as a natural emergence of life moving through the body. Coming from a broad base of education including an MFA in Modern Dance, certifications in Laban Movement Analysis, Pilates, and Massage--Matthew’s work honors the intelligence of sensation, the power of presence, and the unnamable current that underlies all true aliveness. In a world often disconnected from the body, Matthew invites a return—to feeling, to flow, and to the sacredness of being fully here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Evening flow ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 6:30pm - Doors Open 6:45pm - Workshop 8:00p - Dance begins 10:00p - Dance ends, closing circle 10:10p - Snacks & Socializing 11:00p - Doors close ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cost ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Workshop: free if attending dance Drop-in $20 Pass $90 (6 dances @ $15) Cash or Venmo at door or prepay online at omculture.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
