Second Friday Swing Dance with Forest City Django Club

Come on out for The Land Lindy Hop's Second Friday Swing Dance, this month with the Forest City Django Club! We're excited to welcome this band to our lineup. Featuring violin, guitar, accordion, and upright bass, their music is inspired by the timeless stylings of Django Reinhardt. The group brings together jazz, folk, and bluegrass veterans - if you haven't heard them yet, you should definitely come check them out! *Note - this is the LAST 2nd Friday dance we're hosting until September. Make plans to join us before we go on summer break from our 2nd Friday dances! We'll be in the beautiful ballroom at The Brownhoist, with a 30 minute beginner dance lesson to get the night started. Doors Open: 6:45pm Beginner Lesson: 7:00pm Band Plays: 7:30 - 10:30pm Entry for the entire event is $20 at the door (cash, Venmo, Paypal, or Zelle). No pre-registration required. Come join The Land Lindy Hop for a great night of LIVE music suitable for Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, and more at the historic Brownhoist ballroom. All are welcome! No partner or experience necessary! Free parking is available in the lot at the corner of St. Clair and E. 45th, as well as on surrounding streets. ~~~ We are also hosting a clothing swap during this dance! If you are interested in participating, bring your unwanted clothing, shoes, etc., and we will set up a station where you can trade items with other people! Any unclaimed clothing will be donated at the end of the night. Please note that this is a free clothing exchange, not a market to sell clothing. Participation is completely optional!
