Artist BIO: Growing up in France and French Guiana surrounded by sounds from Caribbean, Africa but also Pop, Rock, Jazz… Sayana started dancing on Caribbean, Latin and African rythms since she can walk and performing since 9 years old. As Zouk music is what she’s listening to since she’s a child, she had been attracted very quickly to Kizomba when she took her first class in Lyon, France in 2010. Sayana get addicted in 2012 in Gothenburg and started to train and dance more intensively. She traveled all over Europe and USA to work on her ginga, technicality and teaching skills for Kizomba and Semba and had an intensive training process in Portugal for Afrohouse. She is now happy to spread the love of those dances and all the knowledge she has to American Kizomba and Afro lovers. Later discovered Kizomba and semba dance, fell in love and decided to dedicate herself to the dance, studying the music and the culture. Traveling and training in dance and music all over the world. Hosting successful monthly socials since January 2018, host of Kizomba Na Rua Detroit, and creator of Detroit Kizomba District, deejaying events through North America such as FamJam in Houston, the 5 year Anniversary in Minnesota, Seattle, promoter of events across the USA and overseas all which help bring more opportunities for the Metro-Detroit area to learn and grow in the Kizomba & Semba world.
