The word 'Semba' in Kimbhundu came from the word 'Massemba' which means 'Touch of the bellies'. Semba is a danced based on walking or steps 'Passada'. It is also very playful, sometimes incorporating comedic expressions or mimed grabs for an escaping partner which makes the dance even more fun. Afrohouse: Afro house as music is a sub-genre of house music, with its roots predominantly in South Africa. A fusion of kwaito, tribal, deep and soulful house music, in South Africa it is classed as deep house or soulful house. The dance is hugely influenced by Kuduro, an uptempo, energetic sometimes aggressive dance style. However, Afrohouse is a softer and fluid version.
