Sunday February 1, before Milonga, we will have a special seminar, about Tango music and Tango DJing from International Tango Dj Michalis Kyriakides ( who ALSO will be the DJ for this evening!!) The seminar is a unique opportunity for tango Djs, dancers who are interested in tango Djing or just dancers who want to understand more the music we are dancing in milongas. A fast glance at the history of tango music: the eras, the orchestras, and their evolution. The 3 major periods of tango and the style of music in each period. The important orchestras; how their style evolve, and the periodical change in style and rhythmical base and the effects on the dance. The roots of dancing style (milonguero VS salon…) in music and periods. The secrets of successful tango Djing: Criteria for tandas or the proper tanda for each moment. Which are the most important orchestras a dj “must” play. What is a successful Dj set.
