With a background in classical ballet, he has studied Tango in Buenos Aires and in New York with renowned tango masters. His enthusiasm and love for Tango is palpable and has won recognition with awards at home where he has been acclaimed as one of the best representative dancers of Colombia. He has been teaching and performing worldwide in many International locations including United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Aruba, Argentina, South Asia (Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines) and their native Colombia. In New York City his more important performances include NY Tango Festival in 2007, "Tango Intimo", in 2008,"Tango Connection" and "Tango Noir" in 2008 and 2009 "Tango por Ellos", which received the nomination in the Latin ACE Award 2010 for Best Choreography. Other performances include “Mientras Tango”, at Jamaica Performing Arts Center in Queens in 2010 and 2012. _____ María Inés Bogado is a dancer, artist, and teacher of Argentine tango. For over 20 years she has dedicated herself to her dance, ultimately winning the title of World Champion in Tango Salón in 2010. Among others Rosa Forte and Carlos Perez played a key role in her career as trusted teachers.
