At last, Brits got to see the exquisite style and class of young professionally trained Cuban dancers with that sassy to-die-for street edge. And we couldn’t get enough! Since then Yanet’s career has grown in leaps and bounds. From being a 3-time Tropicana Worls Open Salsa Champion, she went on to compete very successfully in the first UK TV series of So You Think You Can Dance. She has toured the world as a lead dancer with Shakira, and has appeared in West End musicals and TV Programmes, as well as top music videos for Alicia Keys, Tinchy Stryder and N’Dubz to name but a few. And who can forget her tantalising performance in the recent hit film Cuban Fury? It goes without saying that she is highly in demand as a performer and teacher, and so it is that we are incredibly lucky to have her teaching a special one-off Reggaeton workshop. Having pursued an extensive career as a dancer and choreographer, including the tour of the wonderful Havana Rakatan, Etián chose to settle in the UK, where he has been resident since 2009. His move was our fortune. Since arriving in the UK, Etián’s talent and friendly personality have been much in demand in the world of Cuban music and dance, both as a teacher and performer, appearing at congresses, weekenders, club nights and on UK TV.
