We are excited to conclude Sydnie Hendrix' month of Latin and Latin-inspired dancing! This week's topic is isolations and styling. As always, you don't need to attend all of the weeks, but we bet you will want to! Next month, watch for Nicole Trissell's experienced series! Series Discription Latin dancing can take many forms and each can help expand your fusion dancing. This month we will be working on the basics of 3 Latin social dances and how to fuse them into your current dancing. We will touch on salsa, zouk-lambada, bachata, as well as Latin isolation and rhythms. With the surge of Latin inspiration in pop music this is the perfect opportunity to learn new rhythms and ways to dance to all types of music. We will focus on the technique Latin dances can add as well as the fun and flare. Week 4 This week we will be learning about isolations and styling found in Latin dance. We will be focusing on how to incoperate these moments into your fusion dancing as well as identifying Latin rythms in music heard on the fusion floor. We have a special EDM DJed set at 10pm by Savannah Crespo! Rachel Stirling in town and will be DJing at 9pm, and Telind is finishing out the night. Bio: Sydnie is a dance instructor currently based out of Sacramento CA. Before finding partner dancing Syd has trained in jazz and modern as well as exploring may other solo and cultural based dances. Sydnie's partner dance experience started in Salsa with two years of regular training and practice. Syd since then has explored other Latin Dances, WCS, Fusion, Micro, and Blues. Currently Syd focuses on bringing a consciousness aspect to teaching and dancing. Expanding the knowledge of your mind, body, and soul through the connection of dance.
