With the blessings of the Spirits through her Tungus Shaman, Zarina has been sharing her culture all over the world, through music, drumming, her voice and dance, piercing the veil to Ecstatic states of consciousness that is part of the every day life of her people. Warmup: The morning will begin with 90 minutes of facilitated movement with music to create the container for the dance, led by Shannon Simonelli PhD and Vanessa Davis. Please arrive by no later than 12:30pm (Arctic Ecstatic Dance Details…) INVOCATION Immerse yourself into NEOshamanic practices that have been used by first peoples to attain altered states and communicate with the spirit world. Drawing from deep wisdom of the Sakha shamans, the Olox ceremonial journey and live performance will move through the three worlds: The Lower, the Middle and the Higher. • FIRST REALM– THE LOWER WORLD Forces from the Lower World are pervasive in our planet and threaten to destroy us from within and without. Sounds of the Lower World are used to release people from fear, grief, illnesses, hatred and cruelty. Forces from the Middle and Higher Worlds are called upon through ritual and ceremony to aid in this powerful release. • SECOND REALM– THE MIDDLE WORLD The Middle World is the seen world and is intended for people and spirits. The sounds of the Middle World call upon the healing forces of virtue and love. Universal forces are called into the Middle World through ritual and ceremony to aid in powerful rejuvenation and restoration. Through shamanic ceremony we are brought back into balance and harmony within ourselves, with each other and with nature. THIRD REALM – THE HIGHER WORLD The sounds of the Higher world evoke the energies of art, wisdom, enlightened awareness and universal connection. In Sakha culture there is a complex cosmology of deities that oversee and give benefit to many different experiences in the human realm. Zarina (Olox) Bio: Zarina was born in small remote village of 900 people, far from capital of Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) - Yakutsk city (Arctic Siberia). As a young child she spent a great deal of time in the wild, learning to talk with animals and birds. She was taught traditional songs when she was three years old and was asked many times to sing for her tribe during ceremonies. When she came of age, she received permission from spirits through Tungus Siberian shaman to play shamanic drum and sing sacred songs. Since that time her life has completely changed and the shamanic music has taken her all over the globe in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and now here in the United States. Her desire is to bring healing to this planet during this time of global crisis. Her people have been living in shamanic wisdom for centuries and relying on our deep cultural roots to survive in -94 F winter, facing and struggling extremal life issues. She feels called to share her cultural wisdom and so she created the Olox project - the bridge between ancestral wisdom and new generations, traditional knowledge married to new technology.
