She trained and competed with Alma Latina in Mexico, at the Oaxaca Salsa & Bachata Festival, earning first place in Amateur Bachata Team category in 2018. Along with her dance partner/husband, Luis Alberto, she is the current 2019 World Salsa Summit Bachata Champion in the Rising Star category. She has performed and taught across the country. Jess has committed herself to training in technique and constantly working to improve herself as a dancer.
