Snuggle Dance! (May Edition)

Back by popular demand, round 2 of this yummy event! Join us for an evening of oxytocin-rich slow dance and snuggling. We’ll be exploring connection, affection, and intimacy—held by the flow of Ecstatic Dance DJs and the safe boundaries of a non-sexual snuggle party. Guidance will be provided on communicating your boundaries with clarity & kindness, how to invite touch, and to express your authentic yes's & no's. This is a space to explore how group hugs, foot rubs, Contact Improv, head massages, or even "no touch" can be profound. Come play, share, and heal with touch & authentic movement as vital forms of nourishment. Saturday, May 20th 6:45pm–11:00pm Eugene Garden Club, 1645 High Street $15-20 (sliding scale) cash or check at the door 6:30pm: Doors open 6:45pm: Dance warm-up begins 7:30pm: Entry deadline! Orientation & Playful Intro 8:00-10:45pm: Dance and Cuddling (and Tea Lounge until 9:30pm) 10:45pm: Closing Integration • We will have filtered water and tea available. Bring a water bottle and any snacks you prefer to sustain yourself through the evening. This event is held without alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs. • Dress comfortably for dance and cuddling (this is a fully clothed event). • Come freshly showered in clean clothes, with no scented products or essential oils, to respect our friends with sensitivities. Please arrive with fresh breath. • 7:30pm is the entry deadline this time around. Check-in will be closed once the Opening Orientation begins Our Facilitators: Troi DeLuz: Professional Snuggler & Founder of Snuggle Lab Oli Oldaker: Gung Fu Tea Master Baron von Spirit: Ecstatic Dance DJ Oblio: Coalessence DJ (subbing for our dear co-founder Christina Sasser) We’ll begin with warm-up music for arrival and stretching. At 7:30pm we’ll all gather for an Orientation to go over consent guidelines and share a playful introduction to group cuddling. Then we’ll drop into connection, with spaces full of snuggle mats & pillows and a wood floor for conversation-free dance. Our DJs will play all music on the flowing, chill, downtempo side—to facilitate connection—rather than “jumping around” ecstatic music. Professional tea service from 8:00–9:30pm will include a variety of rare teas. At 10:45pm we’ll all gather for a closing snuggle and integration.
