Social Hangout #30: Mix & Match fundraiser

Aidez nos projets de performance et notre équipe enseignante à financer leur participation à l'International Lindy Hop Championship (ILHC) en participant à ce Mix & Match ouvert à toustes ! Vous souhaitez participer à la compétition ? Présentez vous sur place avec 10$ (argent comptant et cartes acceptées). Vous voulez seulement regarder et encourager les personnes participantes ? Venez en grand nombre, avons besoin de vous pour juger la finale ! Format de la compétition : « Mix & Match » (choose your own adventure). Jusqu'à 6 couples seront sélectionnés pour la finale. Finale en battle et prix de participation pour les gagnants. Ouvert à toustes ; payez 10$ pour participer. L'activité commencera à 19h mais vous pouvez venir pratiquer ou manger dans nos locaux avant ! À propos des Social Hangout : tous les jeudis, Hélène vous propose de partager un moment chaleureux pour échanger sur les aspects culturels des danses afro-descendantes en compagnie de personnes invitées et membres de la communauté. Chaque semaine, nous ouvrirons cet espace pour partager nos connaissances sur la culture du jazz, renforcer la compréhension de nos danses, socialiser entre pairs et développer un meilleur sentiment d'appartenance à la Communauté Cat's Corner. Visionnage de clips et de films, conversations ouvertes, potluck et friperie, pratiques ouvertes et jams de danse : l'hiver sera doux chez Cat's Corner. *** Help our performance projects and teaching team fund their participation in the International Lindy Hop Championship (ILHC) by joining this Mix & Match! Winners will receive participation prizes. About Social Hangouts: every Thursday, Hélène invites you to share a warm moment of exchange on the cultural aspects of Afro-descendant dances with guests and members of the community. Each week, we'll open this space to share our knowledge of jazz culture, strengthen understanding of our dances, socialize with peers and develop a greater sense of belonging to the Cat's Corner Community. Video and film screenings, open conversations, potluck and clothes swap, open practices and dance jams: it's going to be a sweet winter at Cat's Corner.
