Our 5-day retreat in Polish Tatra Mountains will take you into the secrets of the most loved Zouk dance couple. 💥 5 days, 16 h of workshop and practice with the most flowy Zouk couple Brenda Carvalho and Anderson Mendes 💥 Surrounded by nature in the heart of Polish Tatra Mountains 💥 Classes, parties, food and accommodation included, as well as access to the swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi available at the venue 💥 And last but not least – probably the first time in Poland – Zouk Pajama Party! 🕺💃 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣 During 16 h of workshops we will: ● learn basics of Brenderson dance technique that has been developed by them for over 7 years ● discover techniques of Immersion developed by Brenda and Anderson within their life practice ● practice how to reach a natural deep sensitivity and awareness ● work on highly efficient using of our bodies in dance, involving body awareness, understanding of anatomy and somatics ● much more 😊 A detailed description of the workshop is provided below. They both went through a long, big, never ending journey of self development, getting deeply in touch with their mental, physical, emotional and energetic bodies. That’s probably why we can see that their way of dancing brings this holistic integration element. Parallel to this, they were already specialists of the mechanics of leading and following in many different social dancing styles they have been doing for the last 20 years. The 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 was created to help people to get in touch with their sensitivity. “We noticed that when we wanted to teach some mechanics of the lead and follow techniques, some people had a hard time to notice subtle changes on intensity of pressure or tension. Sometimes because of being too busy in their minds, sometimes because their body was too tense or busy doing the steps, sometimes just having a hard time to be present in the body. So we created this course to help people to get in touch with their sensitivity again, using different tools from our research on active meditation, tantra, masculine and feminine energy, non-violent communication, and others that helps people to get more connected.” 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 is a technique that is being developed for 7 years and it’s still going on. It’s based on using the minimum amount of effort to make social dance comfortable and connected. “We mostly apply it on Brazilian Zouk, but it can be used by any form of dance, and its foundations are Grounding, Flow, and Lead & Follow.” It’s a technique that involves a lot of body awareness, understanding of posture, using gravity and the natural directions of the bones and joints to move with the “just enough” amount of muscle tension necessary, and has the consequence of helping the body to find its organic ways of working again. It has a lot of influence from a somatic practice called Eutonia, which is “the perfect adjustment of muscle tone” At this event, they will 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 + 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, mixing elements from the technique to apply into dance, and elements from immersion to help the dancers to FEEL more the dance. #brenderson #zouk #retreat #brendaanderson
