About this Event
Embrace the music and movement of the swing era! Vernacular jazz is a collection of solo dances originated alongside swing music in the 20s. This workshop will cover foundational moves & exploring how to use these moves to let loose & dance to jazz! This is a SOLO DANCE workshop, suitable for all levels of dancers!
Instructor Hannah Bild-Enkin is a lindy hop & vernacular jazz social dancer, performer, choreographer, & instructor based in Toronto. Originally training in tap, ballet, & figure skating, Hannah fell in love with swing era dances in 2011. She enjoys the improvisational nature of jazz music and dancing, and continues to find inspiration in the relationship that music and dance have with each other.
