CULTURE:
We are seeking a culture evolution to demonstrate our commitment to new regenerative ways of living. Working together to create collectively, while respectfully following some guidelines we have put in place.
WHANAU FOCUSSED:
Here at Solscape we are a family. Coming together with the shared intention of loving one another, caring for each other, connecting with compassion, helping and respecting all of who we are. A community focussed on working together to bring forward fruition.
ANYONE & EVERYONE WELCOME
It speaks for itself. We are all-inclusive, anyone and everyone is welcome here in this space. As this is an accommodation venue, no vaccine pass is required but if you do feel unwell, please stay home. We will be following the government light system guidelines.
FOOD:
Collaboration in the kitchen is encouraged. We suggest bringing extra vegetarian/bulk foods to share (beans, lentils, vegetables etc) and collaborate with those around you.
We are opening opportunities working with what we have and what the earth provides. Bringing together food from the garden and what we each have to offer, into the pot.
There will also be a couple of food trucks onsite.
ZERO-WASTE:
Solscape is a zero-waste community.
Compost stations will be available onsite - however we do ask that you take any rubbish or recycling with you. The idea is you take out what you bring in. Allowing recycling space for the residents that are on site.
CAMPING:
We ask that the tents are no larger than 4x people to ensure you can fit into the spaces available.
If possible please bring your own cooking stations to make space in the kitchen for those who need it. (B.Y.O) bring your own plates, cups and cutlery, pots and pans.
There are two camping zones :
The Tipi Forest, a serene sanctuary set amongst native bush at the base of Mt Karioi. Note it is a 5 - 10 min walk to this site. Guests share an out-door, covered kitchen with a wash station. It is off grid with solar showers and composting toilets.
The Station House Zone, Set amongst Solscapes spacious grounds at the foot of Mt Karioi.
Guests share the communal facilities including a bathroom and kitchen wash station.
No dogs, please.
PARKING:
Please be mindful that we have residents living onsite. We have allocated specific space for guests to park - this includes self-contained van’s. Camping and cooking is not available in this area unless set up inside your vehicle.
CURFEW:
To be mindful of others we ask for no loud noise after 10pm. There will be some opportunities for quiet activity around the firepit past this time and some evenings exceptions will be made for celebration.
