Somatic Ecstatic Dance

Somatic Ecstatic Dance / Body Ecology Kia ora kouto join us in this guided journey of somatic movement and dance from the base of mount Karioi to the depths of your body. You will be guided through powerful spoken words, and live and electronic music, entwining the rhythms of the seasons and how we collectively interrelate within them. The journey will take you to the creation of your inner landscape by gently attuning your awareness of different ways of being in your body through focused imagery and intuitive movement and dance. This session is focused to help you break through shyness, build resilience, gain trust and confidence during transitions and cycles of life, and will facilitate a state of highly conscious awareness. Somatic Ecstatic is facilitated by the amazing Vanessa Mateja, and accompanied by two cornerstones of the NZ Festivals scene, multi-instrumentalist Carlos Riegel and DJ Anirvan Deva.
