Saturday 18th May 2024 DAYTIME SON CUBANO WORKSHOP @Piccadilly Ballroom 23 Bath Rd, Bournemouth BH1 2NN 1pm-3pm EVENING SOCIAL The Ballroom @Marsham Court Hotel, Bournemouth 8pm-12 Midnight Hi everyone An exciting workshop with the master of traditional Son, Juan Carlos Pacheco from Cuba. Juan is a well respected Son Maestro in the UK and Internationally. We are so lucky to have him in Bournemouth for this workshop. This is a great opportunity and privilege to meet/see Juan and be taught this beautiful, graceful, elegant dance which is danced in partnership but also as solo. Ability and understanding of dancing Son is another level and will certainly help enhance your skills set as well as adding flavour to your dance. . This is a progressive workshop and structured for all levels. SATURDAY 18TH MAY 1PM-3PM WORKSHOP PROGRAMME: 1pm Fundamentals of Son including musicality, explanation of Melody, Rhythm and Basic steps and; introduction to son/salsa transition. 2pm Progression to partner dancing including feeling of dancing son, connection, frame, travelling moves and introduction to sequence/combination of moves. SUNDAY 19TH MAY (TWO HOURS) Time and venue to be confirm Progression/Introduction to Son Tornillo (a classic/traditional move) and practicing to combine with sequence of moves.
