And there we are: the first Sonar party since 4,5 years. Back then it was the only platform in Gent for people longing to dance on proper contemporary, innovative dance music from all over this planet of music – and it still is. We scale it down to its pure simple essence: a 4 hour long dj-set at a beautiful, intimate location. The music is diverse. The core is afro/latin rhythms, but it moves across Eastern Europe over the Middle East and via South-America back to the very root of dance music: Africa – where still the latest evolutions of rhythm music find their origin.
