SOOP Beginners Special

It’s time for our 2nd SOOP Beginners Special. After a huge succes last year we are going to host this wonderful event again to welcome our newest members in our Dutch Swing Community. Our scene is growing and more and more people are swing dancing, new schools and socials started to be organised and SOOP is still going strong after 11 years. How cool is that! To welcome new dancers to our scene and to show what SOOP is all about we organise this event to meet new friends and get familiar with each other. Newbies: If you are new, maybe started taking your first steps at your local school or did a Lindy Hop taster workshop here or there, it might be scary to go to a social locally or even in a different city. This night will be your night to make yourself familiar with SOOP, dancing on live jazz music and to meet the people in your community. Beginners - Beginner/Intermediates: Have you seen these superduper Lindy Hop competitions on YouTube or at a party and dreamed of competing in the future yourself? This is your chance because we are going to have a special Teacher-Beginner Competition. You are invited for this competition when you have not exceeding 1,5 years of swing dance experience. (in both roles and all kinds of swing dance). Your dance partner however doesn’t need to be a beginner/intermediate with max 1,5 years of experience. We encourage you to ask your (local) teachers to partner up with you and join this fun competition. Band: We have the amazing Orange Moon band playing live jazz music for us this night.
