Come join us for an expansive evening of ecstatic dance and sound healing with the talented duo, Rebecca & Queenyy! Get ready to groove to Queenyy's infectious beats at Arts Court - Studio B. This ecstatic dance opportunity allows you to get you out of your head and into your body. Rebecca & Queenyy will provide a safe space for the pleasure of movement, exploration and personal expression. Movement is improvisational with no formal instruction or guidance. Integrate your movement experience with a deep-dive sound healing experience with the magical weaving of sounds from Rebecca White Raven. Be sure to get your ticket in advance. QUEENYY BIO Hailing from Ottawa, Canada, Stephanie Marcantonio, professionally known as Queenyy, is a versatile creative force. Specializing in selecting a blend of underground house, techno, tribal rhythms, and global beats, Queenyy curates a captivating and immersive musical journey for her audience. Her sets are renowned for their infectious energy, capable of transporting listeners across the globe with her diverse music selections. Drawing inspiration from her worldly travels and life experiences, Queenyy's commitment to her craft and love for music and movement shines through in all she does. Her deep-rooted passion for dance traces back to her childhood, undergoing a transformative evolution nearly a decade ago when she turned to yoga to manage chronic pain. This choice not only helped her overcome physical challenges but also reignited her passion for dance, leading her to explore street dance styles worldwide. In 2023, Queenyy made a conscious decision to deepen her movement artistry. Beginning her journey in India, she delved into the study of yoga, earning a 200-hour teacher training certificate. Her adventures then took her to South Africa, where she immersed herself in African street dance. By teaching yoga to dancers at Soweto’s Finest Dance Studio in Johannesburg, Queenyy seamlessly merged her expertise in both disciplines. Now focusing on Ecstatic dance DJ sets, Queenyy merges all her talents into one cohesive offering. Creating a welcoming space for individuals to discover their unique rhythm amidst her eclectic music choices, she continues to captivate audiences with her artistic fusion. See full bio here: https://queenyymusic.com REBECCA WHITE RAVEN BIO Rebecca White Raven is an Ottawa based musician, kirtan artist and sound healer. From her perspective, life is too short to live it for anyone else. She enjoys finding what she loves and putting her energy there --- this means music, sound, people, meditation, dancing, playing, connecting with nature. When Rebecca discovered sound healing, it vibrated with her in a wonderful way. An organic and natural path occurred to bring her to a place of spiritual connection through the use of sound. This included studying the works of inspiring sound healers like Tom Kenyon and Jonathan Goldman, as well as in-person sound healing training with Jay Schwed and Jeremy Sills, and vocal programs with Elijah Ray and Barclay McMillan. She is currently inspired and fulfilled by using sound to raise the vibration of others. She spends much of her energy now feeling empowered and light, and sharing this with others. She loves helping others to discover their inner joys, release their fears and inhibitions, and let go of old patterns of belief that no longer serve them.
