A FREE to attend, no holds barred - swing dance contest! www.southernswingchallenge.com Southern Swing Challenge is a community based contest event, promoting the competitive spirit of swing dancing in the South East. The goal of the event is to help nurture and develop our regional scenes. Encouraging non-dancers to attend and newbies to compete, we can help grow the excitement of Swing Dancing! We want to encourage EVERYONE to compete and get involved in their scenes. SSC is FREE to attend and open to the public. We hope that SSC will challenge and inspire dancers, from beginner to advanced. Divisions: Newcomer Lindy Hop Jack & Jill Open Lindy Hop Jack & Jill Open Balboa Jack & Jill Open Couples Lindy Hop Open Couples Slow Solo Jazz 30 Second Showcase -Solo/Couples/Team All contests are only $5 to enter per person or, $25 for 6 divisions! There will be social dancing in between all contests. Finals for Strictly Lindy and Newcomers will happen at the Saturday night dance. There are additional activities throughout the weekend!
