Sovereign Sexuality: Trusting Your Pleasure Body

A tantric dance workshop for singles, couples, and other constellations. We invite you to share in sovereign sexuality through naked contact improvisation. You are whole, and your desires themselves have the power to bring you fulfillment. In this somatic embodiment and dance workshop we will look fear in the eye. We will see our immediate completeness within the framework of partnership and community. We will address our shame, reparenting ourselves in a stepwise progression of vulnerability. We will build a sacred container of trust by seeking and restoring our own integrity, honoring the boundaries that support us to follow pleasure as a source of divine guidance. In this ceremonial space we will dance naked together, exploring touch and welcoming sexuality as an energetic experience without physical sexual stimulation. The dance will be our priority, with no genital rubbing or kissing. Come ready to experience the deep pleasure of integrity and sovereignty. To maintain the integrity of the container we will be interviewing all participants before the workshop. Workshop size is limited to 20 participants. You are not required to be present for both modules, however you must be present for the beginning of any module in which you participate. Investment: $120, $80 for one module only Location: Flowspace, 6315 Doyle St Emeryville CA 94608 The curriculum: Part I 1-4:30pm : Body Presentations and Somatic Reprogramming We will circle as a community to share our body stories, and to declare new narratives for ourselves and each other. Entering into nudity, we will engage directly with shame and trauma cycles, using movement and awareness to disperse stuck patterns and beliefs. Part II 6-9pm: Co-creative Consent and Naked Contact Improvisation In co-creation we stay ourselves, interacting without any obligation. We explore how to connect without grasping, honor our yes and no, and reposition ourselves in relationship at any moment, following curiosity. We will explore and affirm our sovereignty through co-creative exercises, and then jam out in a naked and euphoric contact dance. We’ll use just enough coconut oil to slide on each other without losing our feet! Who we are: Matthew Grounded in awareness, connectivity, and flow, @Matthew Nelson takes an ecstatic and scholarly approach to being at home in our intelligent, spiritual, sexual bodies. Matthew brings over 20 years experience on his path as an artist and therapist, achieving qualifications that include an MFA in Modern Dance, and certifications in Laban Movement Analysis, Massage, and Pilates. He breathes embodiment as ground zero for the critical realization that we are living systems, made up of living systems, and participating in living systems. His presence is compassionate, his spirit playful, and he is forever curious. Liv Movement, creativity, and sexuality all inspire Liv Love (@Liv Olivia Pavlov) as natural outlets for her exploration of what it is to be an artistic sexual person in the world. A tántrica, a healer, a teacher of workshops about connection, sexuality and movement, she fundamentally brings Eros, life force, into the people and spaces around her.
