Special Pop Up Event - Celebrate Argentine’s Independence Day

Celebrate & build awareness of Argentine Tango in Austin. Come dance and and invite your friends to this special event at the exquisite TX State Capitol Rotunda! There will be performances and social dancing! Perfect for non-dancers to witness the beauty of tango and meet its welcoming community, and a great opportunity for dancers of all levels inspire their friends and on-lookers. Come watch, share, enjoy! This will be an indoor event, happening on the 1st floor of the Capitol Rotunda 12:00 - 1:00pm Performance + Milonguita Can't wait to see you all there. Please be sure to arrive early. Parking is free on Sundays. FAQ: What's the cost? It is FREE! Will food be provided? No. Why just one hour? This is the maximum time that we are allowed. Where can I learn more about Argentine Tango? ConnectionTango.com/newbie It's too early/late. Why was this date / time chosen? This is the only time that we are allowed to use the beautiful Capitol Rotunda. July 6 was chosen because it is the closest weekend date available Argentina's Independence Day. I don't know any tango, can I still attend? YES, just make sure to get there early so you don't miss the wonderful performances! And our community is very friendly and will be happy to meet your and welcome you to tango. What time should I arrive? Plan to arrive at least 10 mins early. Everyone will need to go through the metal detector to enter the capitol. Is there parking available? Yes, it being Sunday there should be plenty of free parking available at that time. When is the next Capitol Milonga? We don't have another event programmed, so make sure you don't miss this one.
