Special Thursday Milonga + Class with Claudia & Tittu

Join us at 8pm for an intermediate level class with Tittu Thomas and Claudia Cortes Labarca who joins us from Buenos Aires. We'll study "serpentitos" - quick forward and backward pivoting movements with different options for leader footwork, and an excellent addition to your milonga vocabulary. This class is inclusive to folks of all genders, non-binary & LGBTQAI+. Anyone may dance either or both roles, and no partner required. The weekly Oxygen Thursday Milonga will follow from 9pm-12:30am and features DJ Red Hot. She has had the privilege to teach and perform not only in the USA, but also Argentina, Chile, Perú, México and China. She has lived in Buenos Aires for the last 10 years, studying with master teachers like Graciela Gonzalez, Gabriel Misse, Javier Rodríguez, Nito & Elba, Raúl Bravo, Horacio "Pebete" Godoy, Pablo Veron, Cristina Diacono, Federico Naveira, Gustavo Naveira, Olga Besio, Ricky Barrios, Hernán Alvarez Prieto, Sabrina Masso, Moira Castellano, Rubén & Sabrina Veliz, Luciano Brigante and Leandro Oliver. She absorbed from them the elegance of Tango Salon but using the complex and risky movements from Tango Orillero. Claudia’s teaching draws from an academic background in athletics to emphasize correct technique, alignment and movement in the dance. Her dancing epitomizes the intensity, beauty and stillness of Argentine Tango. About Tittu: Tittu Thomas has been dancing tango for 14 years, and considers social dancing as the center of his love and exploration of the dance . He has studied extensively and inspired by internationally renowned masters like Gabriel Misse, Leandro Oliver, Carlos and Rosa Forte. He has performed and taught with Analia Centurion at multiple events all around the US.
