This Halloween, we invite you to use the power of sacred space, music and movement to alchemise and transmute your shadow. You have full permission to dance with your shadow parts—those aspects we often suppress out of fear, shame, or societal expectations. Yes indeed - you are invited to bring the hidden, repressed, or forgotten parts of yourself into embodiment and be witnessed in your wholeness. Be expressive in your outfit - wear something that embodies the energy of your shadow: your inner trickster, wild self, bad girl/boy/human or misunderstood rebel. Anything goes from full costume, to one item of clothing that represents that part you’d love to bring into the light. Through ritual, music, movement, and intention release old stories, embrace the wholeness of your being, and celebrate every part of yourself. Expect a playlist that encompasses all kinds of beats, atmospheric voiceovers, and grounding transitions, as well as a community that embraces vulnerability, authenticity, and connection. No dance experience is needed—just an open heart and the willingness to meet yourself fully. Got something you’d like to charge up on our Halloween altar? Our ecstatic dance has an especially intimate family vibe. It is a sober space with no talking during the dance - however there is time to share and connect after! Location : Squamish United Church, far right door on 4th Ave. Parking is street parking anywhere along 4th Ave. All you need to bring is your water bottle, comfy clothes to dance in and cash for admission (or e transfer to [email protected] PRIOR to entry). Admission is now a flat rate of $20 with the opportunity to purchase a punch pass to get a discount and free guest passes! We aim to provide an inclusive space where everyone is welcome, including children! However, please make sure your children can remain quiet during Savasana and the sharing circle so that we can maintain the integrity of the container.
