Is your spirit like mine hungry for gentle care and heartfelt embodied expression? I invite you to take some time to listen and follow yourself, as a dancer. It is so easy to be carried away by the increasing light into rush and overwhelm. This is a good time to find balance between receiving, soothing, recharging and expressing, releasing, clearing out what is ready to leave in order to give space for new life. Let's do it together! Let’s meet the wildness of Icelandic nature with the wildness of our dances, from a place of melting soft honey sweetness of our bodies and hearts! You might have been taken to the edge this winter by the darkness, cold and the snow storms. This is an invitation to come and bathe in the refuge of the loving wisdom of your body, heart and mind, to find pleasure, peace, love and joy. Let’s take some time and come together, to lift up the day-to-day part of life through dance as prayer, into a sense of magic. For those who wish to receive plant medicine as part of this journey, we will serve Rapé from the Brazilian Rainforest and Ceremonial Cacao from Guatemala. If cacao is not calling you, you are welcome to have herbal tea with us. This is a gentle & fierce home coming to your body, through invoking pleasure, power and connection no matter your state of being, as an exploration of your amazing body in movement. We will pay attention to what wants to come alive, through the wisdom of our bodies, hearts and minds, through the healing power of rhythmic music and shamanic & ecstatic dance, clearing our channels and giving space for the divine in us to shine and to celebrate life! Let's open up to our true nature, that which wants to grow from this sweet spot of the present moment. Let ourselves be nourished and let´s nourish each other as we are inviting a compassionate witness for ourselves and for each other, to follow and express ourselves in movement. When you listen and give your body permission to start moving freely, it will release, heal and restore your psyche, to remember and reconnect with your sense of feeling fully alive. There are no prerequisites for this journey other than willingness, curiosity and a kind witness. We will prepare sacred space for Ecstatic Dance within a shamanic context, including basic mindful dancing tools of connection, for a deeper ED journey. She is fully alive rising from her life experience of trauma. She is an artist, DJ and a shamanic dancer. Kvika facilitates empowerment journeys for women and men, to take ownership of their bodies, emotions and thoughts, to dance with any limitation as a gateway to personal power, pleasure, aliveness, freedom, peace, joy, health, wealth and love. Kvika Föld Shamanic Dance grew out of 14 years of dedicated apprenticeship to Movement Medicine with Susannah & Y´Acov Darling Khan. She graduated as a Movement Medicine teacher 2015 and has been teaching Movement Medicine for 9 years by the time she began to define her own body of work. She has a background in the 12 step program, various kinds of inner work and a lifelong practice of the visual arts as well as being a mother of two young courageous women. Kvika completed the Ecstatic Dance DJ training 2022 with Wakamaia School of Sacred Fun by Sophie Sofree & Raio.
