SSB Blues Dance Party with the Lionel Young Blues Band AT LA RUMBA!!

We are Shimmy Shakin' Blues-- we hold a monthly blues dance party with live music from the best blues bands in Colorado. Come for good music, good dancing, and good people! Our next blues dance party will be a with LIVE music from the Lionel Young Blues Band! Lionel Young is the ONLY two time winner of the international blues challenge, and we are SO lucky to have him and his band be our first band at this new venue!! GENERAL EVENT VENUE CHANGE: This is our first event at the beautiful LA RUMBA DENVER!!!! <3 <3 Please come to check out the new venue and support our event with this new exciting venue change! ABOUT THE VENUE: This is a 21+ club, with a dress code of no baseball caps or flip flops. There are no outside beverage allowed in the venue, which includes a full bar and water bottles are sold for $2. PARKING HUGE FREE parking lot on the corner of 9th and Broadway AND free metered street parking in surrounding streets after 6pm. SCHEDULE Doors open at 6:30pm. There will be a beginner-friendly blues dance lesson from 7:00-8:00pm. A dance party with live music from the band and DJ'ed band breaks will follow from 8:00-12. 7:00-8:00pm: All levels blues dance class Instructors: Vartan Khachaturov and Stephanie Quon! 8:30-12:00am: Blues dance party with the Lionel Young Blues Band (live blues band goes on at 8:30pm!) DJ: Vartan (band breaks) Admission: $15- class only ($10 student discount with ID) $20- dance only ($15 student discount with ID) $35- class and dance ($25 student discount with ID) The dance is indoors, NO RESTRICTIONS: vaccine and mask optional.
