St. Louis Shag Special

This extended class was designed for all swing dancers lovers (Charleston, Collegiate Shag, Balboa, Lindy Hop and Blues) that are curious or have already some experience in this energetic dance called St Louis Shag. You will learn moves like Revolving doors, Pop turns, Breaks and a sequence of cool moves with easy transitions from the basics to the sophisticated ones. We will focus on the footwork technique and on the jumpy bounce, correct posture and engaged connection specific of this dance. Giving each other the right signs on the right time makes your dance a pleasant ride! Catarina is original from Lisbon. She had her dancing career in Berlin where currently with James Farrell run the Shag Klub Troupe and have been choreographers, performers and instructors of Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag, St Louis Shag, Solo Jazz and Charleston inspiring many dancers to be versatile and try out different swing styles. St Louis Shag is one her passions because of the explosive feeling and the energetic bounce. She values rhythm creativity and fast tempos above everything.
