Angel grew up in a tango world where creative improvisation was the norm, where the old masters expected the younger dancers to watch a movement and find ways to make it their own.
Julie's ballet background informs her approach to teaching. She fully believes in the power of technique to unleash creativity.
Together Angel and Julie open the door to both structure and creative possibilities (and try not to drive students crazy;)
After class it's time for their Famous Potluck Practica. Students, non-students, visitors, the curious gather around the table to share tasty treats and even tastier wine.
