Student Night Sunday Swing at Big'z Burger Joint UTSA!

Come celebrate a NEW year of Alamo City Swing Revival at our NEW location, NEW day and time! Make your 2026 resolution to get out on the dance floor! Big'z Burger Joint UTSA is our NEW Sunday night location, plenty of free parking and space to dance! Attendees are welcome to walk thru the main entrance and walk thru the dining area to the back entrance, or use the side entrance pathway to our private dance room, look out for signage for where to go! Student Night, students free with valid student ID! We will also be celebrating February birthdays in our Jam Circle! This will be a DJ night, perfect for practicing and perfecting those new dance moves! DJ nights are also great for scheduling dance evaluations and guidance from your preferred instructor. Dance lessons are still included in ticket price, but please be aware of our updated prices and times, see below. 🕺 FEBRUARY DANCE LESSONS: 6-7pm INTRO TO SWING 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬: Nick & Ale 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: This 6-count dance is where it all starts! This class is available every Monday night. East Coast 1 is perfect if you are new to swing dancing and want to begin your dance journey. This class will cover the main fundamentals of swing dancing such as basic posture, pulsing, weight transferring & core engagement. LINDY-HOP 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬: Andrea & Marissa 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Once you have a firm understanding of the basics, begin to learn this more advanced 8-count dance and the famous swing-out! Lindy can be danced to slow or fast music, often blending several styling including 6-count and Charleston. CHARLESTON 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫: Sheri &Torrey 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Come get your kicks and continue to learn more of this fast paced variation! Originally a solo dance, can be added to partnered dance east coast swing and lindyhop! Ideal for fast songs and upbeat tempos. NOTE: While these classes are available each week, please know that it takes personal commitment to improve your dancing. This may include self-practice, group practices, or private lessons with instructors. Growth requires pushing your limits & testing your potential. Dance is no exception to this rule.
