Summer Solstice Cacao Ceremony, Gong Medicine & Ecstatic Dance

The Spring is in full bloom and as we move towards the peak of Summer to the Summer Solstice we welcome you to join us for a magical and powerful evening Ceremony with Cacao, Dance and Sacred Sound with Peter Michel and Lila Lianna Rose. The Summer Solstice is such a potent time for celebration and community gathering and we are delighted to be able to offer this Ceremony on this auspicious day. The element of fire bestows its greatest power and glory upon us from above, in the form of the miracle we call our Sun! On this powerful day, where the daylight is at its maximum, we give thanks for the all the light, adventures, and the magic of nature that we have experienced in full abundance. Now as the days begin to get shorter, we are reminded to offer deep appreciation for the light we still have to share, both inner and outer. For this beautiful gathering, we have the wonderful opportunity to come together on the magical lands of Avalon, where we will hold shared intention, open to the medicine of this seasonal juncture and affirm our prayers for the Solstice and the rest of Summer. We will journey with the loving and nurturing medicine of Cacao and be supported by sacred sound and movement. We’ll open to the power of our own sacred medicine voices and dance our prayers into being. What to expect: ~The evening will start with an opening circle to arrive and ground, followed by a beautiful Cacao ceremony with time for intention setting and singing. ~We’ll then flow into movement, using specially curated live and electronic music to facilitate play, embodied presence and deep letting go, welcoming all of ourselves to the dance floor. ~Lastly moving into a time of rest, being bathed in the powerful medicine of the gong, sacred sound instruments & medicine voice. ~We’ll complete with a closing circle. There will be delicious homemade vegan soup and bread to share together and nourish the body before leaving. Our Ceremonial grade cacao is from Peru and extra care has been taken in the process of its creation from fermentation into paste, which ensures that all the beneficial bio-active compounds in the Cacao are maintained to keep all of its health benefits. She’s passionate about facilitating embodied transformational spaces, working with the power of sacred sound and free movement, voice expression and sacred ceremony. Lila has been holding private and group sessions for over 14 years, in the UK and internationally. These are in the form of sacred sound concerts as one half of the renowned Mantra duo, Illumina- in such venues as ‘Alternatives’ in Piccadilly, Cecil sharp House, and the Royal Academy of Arts amongst others. She’s also held many sacred cacao ceremonies, workshops, gong/sound baths and yoga retreats all over the country and beyond. Having observed a rapid quickening of the Divine Feminine awakening in our world in recent times, Lila has moved into facilitating deep, shamanic, and embodied ceremonial spaces, working with light language, medicine voice & drum and other sacred instruments. As well as expertly DJing and facilitating ecstatic dance, Peter incorporates his skills as a drummer to add live percussion to his sets; weaving beats and rhythms from a range of percussion instruments and is known for suddenly emerging onto the dance floor with his djembe to really get the crowd going wild. As for his music, Peter is well know for having his finger on the pulse for new and up and up and coming music, seamlessly blending a range of genres and or well known dance tracks, finding remixes and reworks that will pleasantly surprise the audience. Expect soul lifting melodies and deep tribal beats mixed in with some good bass sounds and a splash of nostalgia. Peter plays for festivals and events nationally and internationally and is a resident DJ for Ecstatic Dance U.K, Ecstatic Dance Bristol, Mind body Spirit Festival and Dance Medicine Glastonbury.
