About this Event
On the Summer Solstice, come listen to Cosmic Hue and dance, meditate, and bliss out with us at the spectacular Quarry View in Portland, CT.
Hula Hoops will be available for use and you’re welcome to bring your own flow toys as well! Please bring water/snacks for yourself and a camping chair if you’d like to sit, otherwise there are picnic tables and stone benches around the property to rest, relax, and reflect upon the water.
Sarah Sage will be live painting, and a community canvas will be set up for all to express themselves through color and shape.
Amy Dubenetsky will facilitate the opening and closing of the event, and lead us in ecstatic dancing with her curated playlist to complement the live music.
Cosmic Hue will play two sets of live music! They are a world music groove unit featuring Kalidasa on woodwinds and percussion, Craig Norton on hand pan, drums and percussion, and Andrew Mark Prue on various sundry drums and percussion. Weaving their voices and instruments into intricate textures inspired from many traditions, the band aims to free your mind, open your heart, and get your body moving.
