Join us as we celebrate the sun and the vibrancy of life!
We begin by lighting the fire and creating a beautiful flower mandala as a prayer of peace and gratitude. We will then use fabrics, glitter, oils and body paint to creatively adorn one another or make flags and scarves to dance and move with!
The Cacao Ceremony will give us a peaceful moment to connect with this special time of year and our presence, with a deep and playful somatic practice to follow to guide us deeper into our body.
A wild, tribal Ecstatic Dance with Live Drumming & Percussion for expression, release, play and celebration as we move, stretch and enjoy the rhythms of music that inspire us to awaken our physical senses, heal our body, soothe our emotional and mental fields and connect with the vibrancy of life within and around.
Closing our dance we will come together to sing and move with live piano and voice and there is time to spend around the fire for the evening, sharing food, stories and jamming together. If the gathering is still buzzing we have a suprise DJ lined up to dance into the night!!
Surrounded by nature and as a group we connect with the simple pleasure of being in nature and community.

About Ecstatic Dance
👉🏻Ecstatic Dance is based in the natural understanding that our bodies know how they need and want to move in order to heal, strengthen, release and be nourished. Our ancestors practised rhythmic dancing to drums and chanting for centuries. Ecstatic Dance is based in this ancient practice of tuning in to the free movement desired by your body to shake and awaken your being into higher states of awareness, to release stress and trauma and to reconnect with your inner truth, beauty and enjoyment of life.
We give some guidance to start and then you are invited to listen and move with your internal prompting. There will be a mix of slow, fast, playful, touching music and many styles including tribal, world, dance, folk, downtempo and ambient moods. You may have many different feelings, thoughts, experiences come up! Dance with them ALL! If you feel pain, tune in, is this something to gently move with and feel or do you need to change your movement or rest? If you feel tired, is this old, stagnant 'tired' feelings being released that you can keep dancing through, or do you need to slow down? There is no right or wrong way to move! Enjoy connecting with your body and the music and allow your journey to unfold.
Remember there is no right or wrong way to move, beginners and those who consider themselves 'bad' dancers are very welcome!
