🌞 Get ready to swing into an incredible summer! Join us under the bandshell and dance on the lovely wood floor, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Soak up the sun, connect with the community, and make some unforgettable memories. Some community members may remember a similar series of events in the past called Ottawa Summer Swing! 💃🎶 ☰ OTTAWA SUMMER SWING☰ Our wonderful DJs will spin us exciting vintage swing music and some fun surprises. We welcome all to join us for a fabulous day out, swing dancers of any level as well as non-dancers (or not-yet dancing!).🎼🕺 Come and join us from 1:00pm until 5:00pm ☰ SCHEDULE ☰ 1:00 - 2:00PM Intro to Lindy Hop Lesson 2:00 - 4:00PM Social Dancing 4:00 - 5:00PM Blues Social ☰ LOCATION☰ Andrew Haydon Park - 3127 Carling Ave *Event will take place at the Bandshell, under the shade 😎🎹🥁 ☰ PARKING & TRAVEL☰ 🚗Free Parking available at the park 🚌Bayshore Station is located around 10-15 minutes from the park for those traveling with OC Transpo 🚙We encourage participants to use the Facebook event to make carsharing arrangements ☰ ADMISSION ☰ 🎟️By Donation / Pay what you can (cash only - $5 suggested)- This is an entirely volunteer run operation, but we do have some expenses.
