"We will cooperatively co-create a role-playing game for improvisational dance." :::::::::: 10:30am-1pm ECSTATIC DANCE ::::::::: Stone Soup: When I get into ecstatic dance, I experience a slightly different flavor of reality, not the same as my day-to-day mentality. And the playlist is a bit like a stone soup, that turns out to have a little bit of everything in it for you. But only you can bring the most important ingredient, your personal taste and spice. I find ecstatic dance to be an extremely potent antidote to our somewhat mundane environmental poisons; of flat grey pavement, of constant traffic and advertisements. I feel like the incorrect message that society is sending tells us our voices are not heard and our minute ingredients do not matter. But something about this act of being expressive and communicative without words amplifies my inner creative voice, and this is very pleasurable to me. Our creative imaginations are increased by the effects of the music, the repetitive movements, and the non-verbal interactions with the other dancers. When we all put our ingredients together, the entire village gets fed. Enjoying mutual unlimited imagination in ecstatic dance fills up the belly of my spirit, much in the same way that solitude, nature, or laughter can break the normal tension in our lives. Yes, I dance for recreation, and also for re-creation of my internal bliss and voice. Dance is a fast and easy game-changer for me in terms of adjusting my attitude. And the adjustment seems to cause pleasant ripples or some kind of love vibrations that wiggle into all my relationships. Therefore, I offer this dance to you, like a proverbial hobo once offered stone soup. Please come and try it for yourself! I have put in everything I possibly can to make it completely delicious, the only thing that it lacks is your personal paprika, your unique voice and spice that only you can bring.
