An underground festival culture pioneer, she has been a pivotal part of global electronic music festival culture since the turn of the millennium. She is one of Australia’s most renowned underground female djs, with a global following & fan base. This connoisseur of cutting edge electronic music delights upon following sound as it evolves & has played numerous genres during her career. Dakini currently specialises in "ancient future bass" and frequents the festival and ecstatic dance circuits of California and beyond. Currently playing all over the world, she is known to move any dancefloor with an infectious deep bassline & tribal sounds at festivals such as: Symbiosis Gathering, Lightning In A Bottle, Burning Man, Rainbow Serpent Festival & more. Dakini works as a facilitator of transformational spaces whether behind the decks or behind the scenes of some of the world's best festivals. She is known worldwide for her bass & chill mixes on Soundcloud that have gone viral online, and she has released her first remix on Desert Trax collaborating with Deya Dova and Temple Step Project. No talking in the dance space, this is a sacred movement meditation space for introspection and full embodied expression inspired by the music. Use Namaste prayer hands if you would rather not dance with others, or to complete your dance with others. Quiet area in the lobby for whispering. Kids must be attended at all times. CLOSING CIRCLE Closing Circle after dance is a facilitated intentional circle, a sacred space. We come together to complete our dance experience and to practice expressing with words our embodied experience. This space is not here to discuss what happened before the dance or what you think might happen after the dance. Please honor this dance practice and the medicine it is here to provide for the community. There are other circles dedicated to other personal work. Please respect this intentional space and the people in it and commit to the agreements of the closing circle. We practice intentional giving and receiving at the end of the circle practice. This is not a promotional and advertising space. If you are feeling the need for support from the community this is the time you might ask. Someone may raise there hand to connect with you after the circle is closed. COMMUNITY PICNIC Picnic outdoors under blue skies and sunshine with community when weather permits. Bring healthy food to share. Please clean up after the picnic. Use eco-friendly containers and utensils if possible. There is a Whole Foods in the neighborhood if you need to pick up food. GIVING & RECEIVING Give and receive, trade in community after dancing. What do you have to give to others? What do you want or need to receive from others? Bring clothing, items that no longer serve you and might serve someone else. Together we are growing a supportive music and movement community in Silicon Valley, a cultural shift! No dance experience needed. Move any way you wish. Respect the space and the people in it. Dress to sweat, bring water, no perfumes/colognes. Lightly facilitated invocation. This is a deep container to fully express through an embodied journey, and let it all go. Your creativity, connection, and expression is welcome here.
