Laucinda & Gareth have trained with several Mambo / Salsa teachers & performers, including an ‘Arts Council’ funded training week in 2003 with Frankie Martinez & private training / performance experience with Emma & Mushi of Salsology. They are continuously investing in their training having spent time in New York brushing up on their ‘Santo Rico’ techniques & Afro-Latin body movement with ‘Abakua’. Together, they run the ‘Encuentro Latino’ Dance Company in York. They teach weekly ‘New York Cross Body ‘On1’ & ‘On2’ classes as well as guest teaching & running socials. Such is their devotion to their students, they spent much of 08/09 preparing some of their advanced level for performance experience. Their student show ‘Ran Kan Kan’ went down a storm all over the north. Plus they are proud to have performed in ‘Dansopolis’ at the West Yorkshire Playhouse & at ‘GB Sexp’ II. Laucinda & Gareth have also taught at International Congresses: Mambocity 5 Star International Congress 12' & 13', The UK Congress 06', Britfest 06’ & 07’ & The Great British Salsa Experience 08’, 09’ & 10’. Their most recent show ‘Vacilon’, choreographed & directed by Laucinda & Gareth, features 2 advanced / semi-pro student couples. More about Rasa... Rasa is an absolutely amazing dancer with a beautiful, elegant style, which inspires and captivates all that behold her. She has become an exceptionally accomplished dancer/performer and was winner of the 2011 freestyle Salsa and Bachata championships in the UK. Rasa has also gained much experience over the last couple of years as a teacher of both Salsa and Bachata – with a dynamic teaching style that seamlessly blends her passion and enthusiasm for dancing with a fun, friendly, student centered, and accessible approach. Rasa teaches 5 nights a week in London...including every Thursday at the famous Bar Salsa!! She is one our favourite Sunday School regular guest teachers!!
