Swing Dance Every Monday!

Learn authentic Jazz & Swing dances every Monday with Swingout Central Illinois! Groove to classic and current swing artists in The Preston Jackson Art Gallery of The Contemporary Art Center. 7pm Beginner Lesson 8pm Social Dance 9pm Doors Close (but we keep dancing til we're tired) $10 at the door on the second floor We have 4 beginner lessons: Charleston / Breakaway / 6ct Lindy Hop / 8ct Lindy Hop June = Charleston Wear clothes you can move easily in. Your comfiest tennis shoes are great! (As long as the soles aren't super sticky) Please be clean and avoid fragrance. These dances are cardio, so we want everyone breathing easy. Bring a sweat rag &/or spare shirt, if you perspire a lot. ***SOLO DANCERS WELCOME!*** We rotate partners in the lesson, so you can meet and learn from the group. This is considered the fastest way to learn, for most. ***PARTNERS WELCOME!*** If you prefer to dance with a designated partner, we support that too. Just dance outside the rotation (the side/back of class).
