Swing Dance - November w The Lucky 5

The November 10 Swing Night at Dewey hall features live music from the Lucky 5. Doors open at 7:00. Lesson at 7:30 with Jason Fenton, live music starts at 8:30. Sliding fee scale $15-$20, with student ID: $10. No partner necessary. Refreshments available. The Lucky 5 is a hard-swinging jazz band that blends swing and gypsy jazz to create a unique, foot-stomping blend of music that appeals to a wide range of music lovers. The Lucky 5 performs both original compositions as well as putting a new spin on old jazz standards. The Lucky 5 brings verve, high energy, and an unpredictable impulse to the tradition of jazz from the 20's, 30's and 40's, grooving deeply, and keeping feet moving on the dance floor. The Lucky 5 is Kip Beacco (guitar,) Will Carroll (drums), Matt Downing (bass), Carolyn Dufraine (trombone), and Jonathan Talbott (fiddle). Oldtone Productions hosts Swing night at Dewey Hall the second Saturday thru 2018.
