Swing Dance party with Castle Rock Jazz Band

We have an action packed day lined up for Swing North members and guests, on Saturday 28th October, including a party with the Castle Rock Jazz Band, joining us from Edinburgh. Come and help us rip up the dance floor in the evening. Hallowe'en dress optional! Non-member night owls can save £5 by arriving after 9.15pm, and still get to enjoy a band set, and the last hour of slow swing and blues. MOVING UP WORKSHOP Are you a regular beginner dancer, who is ready for the next challenge? Recently tried Improvers, but keen to build on what you've learned so far? Our Moving Up Workshop, is aimed at anybody who would like to consolidate their basic understanding of Lindy Hop fundamentals and basic patterns. It will be broken down into three hour-long sessions, working on 6 count patterns, 8 count patterns, and Charleston, respectively. Led by Swing North's friendly team of volunteer instructors, this afternoon workshop is designed to take your dancing to the next level. Literally! There's just time to grab a bite to eat and freshen up, before our party in the evening, which is included in the price of the workshop.
