Swing DJ Relay: Bop That Swings

This month we take a look at Bebop, a jazz style that was meant to be listened to rather than danced to - but of course we know dancers always find a way :) We're joined by New York-based bass player, bandleader and educator IAN HUTCHISON who just released an album of Bebop and hard bop classics reimagined for dancing. We will start the event with Ian playing a short educational set. Then it'll be your turn to continue the conversation: share your favorite bop tunes to dance to and help us create a collaborative setlist! All swing DJs welcome, whether you are just starting out or experienced. Swing DJ Relay is a monthly community event where DJs, dancers and musicians from all over the world get together to discuss the music and the artists that make us dance.
