Swing DJ Relay celebrates Hazel Scott and Pride Month

Join us for this month's edition of Swing DJ Relay where we will be celebrating Hazel Scott, who was a trailblazing pianist, singer, and activist and also the Pride Month. We'll spotlight Scott's musical legacy, her role in civil rights for the initial part of the relay and then encourage the participants to thread the needle around LGBTQ+ contributions in Swing and Jazz. We will post some resources in the event page over the coming two weeks too We invite you to contribute to our playlist that we will build live! Share your favorite tunes and videos and discuss with fellow music and history enthusiasts! Zoom link will be provided 15 minutes before the start of the event. Swing DJ Relay is a monthly community event where DJs, dancers and musicians from all over the world get together to discuss the music and the artists that make us dance.
