Swing DJ Relay: Kansas City Jazz

We are excited to welcome Jerry Foote as our Spotlight DJ for a focus on Kansas City jazz from the 1920s to the 1940s. We will kick things off with our warm-up set where anyone can share their music - all we ask you to do is justify why your song is a good follow-up to the one that was just played. Newer DJs: we would love to hear the tunes that make you want to dance! Then Jerry will play a set that will highlight Kansas City jazz from the 1920s to 1940s. It will be an excellent opportunity to learn about the style of music that originated from one of the hot-beds of Swing music And finally we'll continue from where our Spotlight DJ left off and open the floor to you again so we can build a playlist together based on this month's theme. Bring your favourite swing tunes featuring both the Kansas City jazz musicians and music. This monthly event connects newer and veteran DJs over our appreciation for jazz music and history.
