Swing into Spring Fundraiser Social Dance

Come dance and support the Swing Dance Club at UMD! We'll be holding a West Coast Swing and Lindy Hop social dance fundraiser at the University of Maryland campus. Open to all dancers, new or experienced! No partner required. Special showcase of the D.C. JT Junior Varsity Swing Team directed by Erica Smith, and a Lindy Hop performance by SDC members!! A minimum donation of $8 suggested for non-UMD community members at the door via card or Venmo. Additional donations towards the club will also be accepted at the front door. FREE for UMD students, faculty, and staff! All proceeds/donations will go towards the swing club for instructors, room reservations, future socials, etc. Vaccines and masks required. SCHEDULE: (subject to change closer to the event) 7:00 - 7:30 : Beginner West Coast Swing Lesson with SDC officers 7:30 - 8:00 : Beginner Lindy Hop Lesson with SDC officers 8:00 - 12:00 : Social dancing! 9:00 - 9:30 : Showcase of JT Swing Team and SDC members See you all on the dance floor!
