Come and discover the secrets of leading and following with Lindy Jazz. Sunday 25 October | 14:30–16:30 St Oswald’s Institute, Church Street, Durham DH1 3DQ As part of the Durham Jazz Festival 2026, we’ll begin with a 90-minute workshop, followed by a 30-minute social dance. For Followers Join Joo-Lee to discover simple tips and tricks to help your dancing feel flowing, effortless and stylish. We’ll also explore styling ideas, including how to add more confidence and expression to your twist twist. For Leaders Discover practical tips and tricks to help you become a clear, decisive and confident leader, making the dance feel easier and more enjoyable for both you and your partner. Then we’ll bring everyone together for a 30-minute social dance — your chance to enjoy the music, dance together and put what you’ve learned into practice. Your hosts, Andy and Joo-Lee, have been at the heart of the North East swing dance scene since 2007. A friendly afternoon of learning, laughter, great music and dancing with Lindy Jazz.
