Taster class is for those who are curious about Balboa! This swing dance is smooth and dynamic at the same time, perfect for crowded dance floor and fast swing music. Sushi buffet: 15 Eur. 19:00 - Taster 20:00 - Social dance party WELCOME!! ================================================ ABOUT BALBOA Modern BALBOA consists of two dances - PURE BAL and BAL-SWING, both of which originated in California in 1920-1940, USA. PURE BAL is danced in the close position when partners are staying in one place. The dance came up after dancing in an open position and moving around the dance floor was prohibited to allow as many people as possible to dance. Meanwhile, BAL-SWING comes from Charleston Dance and has more freedom. Although dances existed in one region, the communities were separate. And only in 1961, when big bands started to play in Disneyland, Californian dancers began to meet in one place and eventually became friends and learned from each other.
