The quartet includes the Au Brothers, Brandon and Justin, along with the great Todd Morgan and Dean Mora. 6pm - cocktail hour 7pm - introductory dance lesson led by Jeff Freeman 8p-10pm - social dance with the West End Stompers Tickets in advance: $10 At the door: $15 The West End Stompers, led by the west coast Au Brothers, are made up of some of Sacramento's finest trad and swing musicians. Over the years, each member has traveled the country playing for lindy exchanges, competitions, cruises, and jazz festivals. The band was originally assembled for the grand re-opening of Midtown Stomp in Sacramento, and has quickly become a dancer-favorite in the region performing for dances in the Sacramento region regularly, as well as the Bay Area. The Stompers have also played for national swing dance events and competitions such as the Capital City Swing Jam and San Luis Obispo Lindy Exchange. While the roots and focus of the band’s repertoire is recreating the hot swing sounds from the 20-40s, they have also been known to put a hot vintage spin on well-loved songs from other genres, such as movie or Broadway themes.
